About the Event
Join us for a 4 class series designed to introduce you to a healthy plant based diet. We'll walk you through all you need to know, dispel myths, give you tools, and support you in a fun, accepting, and nonjudgmental atmosphere. Each class will have three cooking demonstrations to help you feel more confident in the kitchen. Here's what you can look forward to:
- Class 1: The Power of Your Plate
The first class in this series will focus on getting ready to start a low-fat, plant-based diet. If you're feeling overwhelmed and need a week to consider what this diet entails, what groceries to purchase, and what a healthful menu will look like, this is where you start! We've got great tools, a helpful plan, and three super easy and delicious recipes to get you started!
- Class 2: Let’s Go!
After a week of preparation and today’s lesson, you will have all the tools you need to start your low-fat, plant-based diet. We'll talk meal planning, grocery shopping, and pulling it all together. Now, Let's GO!
- Class 3: Getting in Gear
At this point, we'll be embarking on your second full week of the Kickstart, eating plant based for all your meals and snacks. We'll talk about what's working well for you, and help you meet any challenges that you're facing - including dining out!
- Class 4: Breaking the Food Seduction
After a couple weeks with this lifestyle, you may find yourself saying “I don’t miss anything except cheese!” or “My weakness is doughnuts!” Today’s lesson will examine why these foods, and not broccoli, seem addictive and what we can do to break those addictions. This is an absolutely fascinating class that you won't want to miss!
